Car # 11 - 1994 white Chevrolet Z28
This was another spontaneous purchase that I ended up regretting. Note to self: spontaneous purchases rarely if ever result in happy endings. Anyways, nothing against the Camero but I really loved that Montero but my compulsion got the better of me. It was another auto dealer drive by moment. I was living in Cincinnati and for whatever reason stopped into Marge Schot’s Chevy dealership. I was just looking around when I saw the new Camero sitting there…begging me to buy it. So I did.
Interesting thing is I got to meet and hang out a bit with Marge Schot. She was the owner of the Cincinatti Reds that was always stirring controversy with her comments and smoking in her own stadium despite the city banning smoking in public area’s. There were a ton of reports from people that had worked with her that she had made racist comments. She also owned Beethoven’s brother, Schottzie, who was literally the most vile smelling dog ever. A 200 lb. St. Bernard that had never been bathed and spent the majority of his time with a woman that smoked 3 packs a day.
Back to the car: it looked cool and was fast as hell but was super uncomfortable. It also handled like garbage. Straight on it was fast but on a curvey road the Camero drove all over the place. I owned car #11 maybe a few months and decided it was time to either get an oil change or buy a new car…whichever was easist.
