The first week of the 2009-10 school year is nearly complete. Doug is in 5th grade and Logan is in 3rd.
I can’t believe Doug is just a year away from middle school. He has applied to become a safety patrol; turning in his application nearly as soon as they handed them out. He was fine with posing for a picture at home but had no desire to have us escort to his classroom. I guess he is starting to enter that “I am embarrassed of my parents phase.”
Logan was more than happy to have us come along but we decided he is getting big too and he is already super independent. He is going to join the music ensemble and has decided he is going to concentrate on art.
Neither show much interest in playing sports this fall. I think after this summer they are just tired of the heat and humidity. It’s Africa hot here.
