I am probably what would be considered a video game addict. I must play 30+ hours a week on my 360. Just in the past few weeks I have played Call of Duty 2, 3, 4 (Modern Warfare) and 5 (World at War) and nearly completed all on Veteran level. Though I am somewhat proud of this…I am not necessarily so proud of crushing one 360 controller and breaking a lamp. I have been know to behave like an 8 year from time to time. Yesterday I finally finished Gears of War on Hardened and completed every achievment minus multiplayer. Today I bought Gears of War 2 and I plan on spending this week finishing it on single player before jumping online.
I work (calling it work is a real stretch) from home so I have tons of leisure time. I have a loft area where I spend a good chunk of my time in. I set up to maximize both my work productivity AND video-gaming. I even have set a smaller flat screen tv above my larger one so that I can watch FOX news while playing. Some parts of a game can take a good amount of time to get through; killed, start over, killed, start over, etc. So, I will just turn the volume off and turn up the news. Honestly, it is totally bizarre killing General RAAM on Act V of Gears on Hardcore while being muted and listening to the Senate Hearing for Judge Sotomayor.
