Happy 40th Conception to me!

It was 40 years ago today that my parents were vacationing on a lake house boat somewhere in Ontario, Canada.  Some wine, Barry White, motion of the house boat and voila!…I was conceived!  I am not a fan of my birthday at all and I really don’t like birthday parties.  However, I was hoping that maybe my wife made me a cake and “surprised” me at the 4th of July lake party we are going to today.  Nothing fancy…maybe just something that looks like a female egg getting penetrated by a sperm with little house boat flying a Canadian flag.  Perhaps it would read “Happy 40th conception Patrick!”

So no, techinically it is not my 40th birthday today.  I do like telling people “I was made in Canada!”  If they ask how I just tell ‘em the story above.  Really weirds some out a lot.

Oh yeah…Happy 4th of July to the U.S.A.  233rd American Birthday!
